Ice, Snow, and a 3 Day Vacation

So far, we have had crazy weather in Kentucky, but then again what else is new? Last week, we had 60s and then this week we've had about a 1/2 inch of ice and then a 1/2 of snow today. People in the north may think that's nothing, but here it's a HUGE deal. Taking advantage, Kaylee and I decided to play in the snow today which was her first time being in snow. So here's our snow day pictures:

As you can see, we had a lot of fun once Kaylee figured out that she could play in the snow. Here's the result of our snow day fun:

Second Grade Christmas Party

Since I'm in the posting mood, I thought that I would post some pictures from our Christmas party right before Christmas break. Enjoy!

Christmas Vacation

For the past two weeks, I have been off and have absolutely loved it. My darling daughter has been sleeping in to at least 8-8:30 am every morning which is a dream come true considering she is usually up by 6 am when I am working. Overall, I feel like I haven't really done much, but lounge around in my pjs and play with Kaylee which is enough for me. It's going to be so sad to go back to work and send Kaylee back to daycare, but at the same time it will be good for both of us. Here are just a few pics I've taken over the break:

Christmas for my family was great! I love this time of year because you get to spend so much quality time with your family and not feel guilty about not completing your "to do" list. However, it can get stressful because with 2 sets of divorced parents, it's hard to see everyone in the short amount of time allotted for Christmas. Luckily, this year, we separated it into about 5 days so it wouldn't be as stressful. There's only one side of my family I did not see because it was Greg's year to be with his family for the holidays. Here's a few family photos from our Christmas celebrations with more to come:

In the midst of all the celebration and time off, Kaylee decided to start walking steadily. So now, my little girl is constantly on the go and exploring every inch of the house. She looks so big when I watch her walking around the house carrying her blankie. I can't believe how fast time goes by when you have kids. My baby is growing up too fast, but luckily enough I have a career that gives lots of breaks and time off so I don't miss all of the special moments that every parent strives to see.
