Where Does the Time Go?

Recent events and Kaylee's approaching birthday has left me asking, "Where does the time go?" It seems like just yesterday that I was going to the hospital in labor and now Kaylee is almost a year old. I have become the classic "workaholic" and unfortunately, took too many things and people for granted simply because there were not enough hours in the day. Now, being on fall break, I can truly sit back and look at what's important to me and wish that Spring, Fall, and Summer breaks were year round. However, I completely love what I do. For the first time, I truly feel like I'm making a difference in others lives, but sometimes feel like my family suffers because of it. I sit and contemplate about what's more important: my class or my family? That is one of those gray areas because if I spend more time on my teaching, I miss out on my family, but if I spend more time with my family, my classroom and teaching suffers. It's all about balancing everything out so that my time is divided equally. No matter how much I try to balance, someone or something always seems to miss out. One thing is for certain: cost of gas: $3.48/gallon, groceries for the week: approximately $100, spending the entire morning watching Disney channel and playing with Kaylee in our pj's: absolutely priceless. For a week only, nothing else seems to matter.
